Happy Students
The Monroe School is built upon a rich heritage. We carry on the legacy and vision of Dr. Nannie Helen Burroughs, an accomplished educator and through a proactive education structure we serve students in a coeducation environment. We take pride in the achievements of our students because their ambition is what drives our school to be the success that it is today.

Happy Students
‘It is our dream that students will …experience their classrooms as invigorating, and inspiring environments – places they look forward to going to and places they hate to leave. It is our dream that they will come to know themselves as masters of various crafts…It is our dreams that …they will come to love the process of learning itself… by making it their own.’ Paideia Schools
My name is Dr. Ruth Logan, my mission is to empower and inspire everyone around me to be the best they can be as they follow their dreams. As the CEO, I believe that each student is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, mentally, and socially. It is my desire as an administrator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing a learning environment that promotes peer-teaching, sharing ideas, differentiated instruction, and technology.
I take education very seriously. It is my job as the CEO to ensure that every student has been provided with an appropriate education that meets the needs of that student. I have taken a vow to guarantee that all of the students at The Monroe School will be properly prepared for their transition from Monroe to higher learning or the work world.
In essence, our purpose at The Monroe School is to prevent, eliminate, and overcome obstacles that might keep our students, regardless of any disabilities from fully learning and actively participating in school and society as a whole.
