The Monroe School will implement school-wide Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS), a nationally research-based approach that focuses on teaching positive behaviors to students and staff. The classroom will consist of the teachers, (1) behavior specialist, and one (1) school- based mental health clinician for every two (2) classrooms.

Behavioral interventions will be implemented by licensed mental health professionals with education, training, and experience working with aggressive youth. Services will be provided in individual, group, and classroom based modalities, depending on the unique needs of each student.
